The main purpose of our trip to Holland was my speaking engagement at the 2006 SDC. It was a great conference and we had a great time.
Here is a link to the conference info: http://www.sdc.nl/
Here is a link to the conference schedule so you can get an idea of who was there and what we talked about: http://www.sdc.nl/SpeakersSessions/tabid/71/Default.aspx
Here is a link to the .NET rocks road show that covers the conference. This includes and interview with Kent at the end of the segment. http://www.dotnetrocks.com/default.aspx?showID=180 (click on one of the links on lower right under 'download the show' and an audio file will be downloaded to your computer and you will be able to listen to this 1/2 hour radio show.)
Here are my picture from the Speakers tour of Rotterdam.
A shot of all the speakers before we boarded a boat for a tour of the Port of Rotterdam. Notice that Olivia thinks she is a speaker too. She definately knows how to talk!
Next we all got more excerise than we bargained for when we participated in paddle boat races in one of sunny Rotterdam's oldest harbour areas.
Next we went on a guided push bike tour of Rotterdam. The guy pointing is the guide. Mark Miller was the interpreter, talk about a bias narrator.
A cool building with a hole in the middle. The hole is there for structual purposes. It spans accross a below ground water way that could not bear the load of the building.
And finally two pictures of my beautiful wife relaxing and shopping in Amsterdam.
